MapFish 2.0 has just been released.  MapFish 2 adds support for PostGIS, Spatialite, MySQL, and Oracle Spatial. All of these are supported with GeoAlchemy which is now included. MapFish 2 is also based on the new stable release of Pylons 1.0. The MapFish 2.0 client plugin now uses OpenLayers 2.9.1 and GeoExt 0.7. 

 Note that all these changes also break the MapFish API: v2 does not support the MapFish 1.2 API. Despite these API changes, the new features and supported services should encourage adoption of the new version.
